Meet Scarlet, a joyful and affectionate Bernese Mountain Dog with a heart as big as her beautiful, fluffy frame. Born deaf, Scarlet doesn’t let her disability slow her down — she’s confident, playful, and eager to be part of the family.

Scarlet is potty trained, crate trained, and has even learned basic obedience through hand signals! She’s treat-motivated, eager to learn, and would love a family willing to continue her training journey.

This lovable girl adores people of all ages and wants nothing more than to be included in whatever you’re doing. She’s great with dogs outside the home, but inside the home she prefers to be the center of attention — due to some resource guarding, Scarlet needs to be an only dog to truly thrive.

She’s lived with multiple cats, though her style of play may be a bit too enthusiastic for some. She’d do best with dog-savvy, playful cats who don’t mind a little roughhousing.

Scarlet is seeking a foster-to-adopt home near St. Louis, Missouri where she can continue to flourish and grow in a safe, loving environment. A fenced yard, continued training, and lots of love would be the perfect match.
