Adoption Pricing:

All adoption fees are determined based on the age of the dog being adopted. These fees allow the organization to cover the cost for transport, medical procedures, vaccines, meals, grooming and more. Adoption fees* are tax deductible. We do realize that our pricing may be a bit higher than other organizations, but in order to maintain our integrity and respect the animals we are adopting, we do not necessarily seek out and use the lowest cost spay/neuter clinics, but rather put forth our efforts in approving exceptional clinics across the U.S. that work with 501c3 rescues to assure that they are cared for in the best of our ability. 85% of the dogs that we take in and care for in preparation for their adoptions exceed the age of 5 years. With that comes the need for so many other conditions that are not typically encountered in the younger animals. Dental hygiene is a horrendous issue in these older pups and is costly, the females used in breeding are showing horrible signs of deterioration to their uteruses and the list goes on. We run blood panels on each female above the age of 4 years prior to surgery, and often need dental intervention in addition to being spayed due to the prevalence of dental disease seen in these older animals. On average, we are spending upwards of $1,300.00 on the older dogs coming in to us. Thank you for understanding and supporting us in how we care for the animals we take in.
