❤️ Amrita’s Story ❤️
When Amrita came into our care, she was diagnosed with Patent Ductus Arteriosus (PDA) — a congenital heart defect where an important blood vessel fails to close after birth. This condition causes abnormal blood flow between the heart’s major arteries and, if left untreated, leads to heart failure and, ultimately, a shortened life.
But thanks to your generous donations, we were able to provide Amrita with the lifesaving heart surgery she so urgently needed. Her recovery was remarkable, and just weeks later, Amrita was not only healed — she was adopted!
Today, Amrita is living her best life in snowy Colorado, chasing snowflakes and cuddling with her forever family. ❄️🐾
