Piper has had quite a journey. She found what looked like her perfect forever home — until a chihuahua moved in next door and turned her world upside down. She has conquered a health scare along the way too, coming through with a clean bill of health and every reason to look forward. Through all of it, her personality has only gotten bigger, brighter, and more wonderfully Piper. She is ready for the right home — and this time, it's going to stick.
She is, at her core, an absolute cuddle monster. Once Piper decides you are her person, personal space becomes a distant memory. She will sit at your feet, shadow your every move, paw at your hand the moment you stop petting her, and greet you with zoomies and her favorite dino or duck every single time you walk in. She will also sit up on her back legs to give hugs, which is frankly unfair and should be discussed.
Piper can be nervous around new people at first — especially men — but she has come so far and warms up much faster than she used to. By the second visit, she already loves you. She walks great on leash, is fully house-trained, travels beautifully in the car, and is completely unbothered by storms and fireworks as long as her person is nearby.
Because of her anxiety around small animals, Piper needs a very specific home — and we are committed to finding exactly the right one for her.
Piper would do best in a home that offers:
🏡 A fenced yard preferred — and ideally no small animals visible in neighboring yards
🚫 No small animals in the home — dogs, cats, or otherwise
👩 A female primary caretaker preferred — she warms up to men but does best with women
👶 Older children only — her anxiety around small animals means no young children
🐾 Large dog companions only — she has made friends with the neighbor's shepherd and loves bigger dogs
🧘 Calm, patient introductions — she needs to go at her own pace with new people
💛 Someone home often enough to be her person — because once she picks you, she is all in
Piper has faced a lot and come through every single time. She just needs a home that finally fits — one where she can relax, be herself, and love her people with everything she has. 💕
