Hi, I’m Piper — and I’ll be honest… I’m a little scared at first. New people can make me nervous, and I need a little time to figure you out. But once I do? I’m what they call a Velcro dog.
That means I will:
Sit directly on your feet so you can’t forget to pet me
Curl up next to you on the couch
Sleep beside you if you’ll let me
Follow you from room to room
I just really love my person. ❤️
I’ll talk to you a little when I need to go outside or if I’m hoping for extra pets. But if a delivery driver shows up? I’ll make sure you know about it — someone has to protect you from those suspicious boxes! 📦😉
I enjoy walks, car rides, and zooming around the backyard. I’m pretty good for brushing (though I’m still a bit cautious about my tail). I’ve also been known to gently relocate a shoe or two — not to chew it, just to… keep track of it.
The Important Details:
✅ Potty trained — no accidents in foster care
✅ Has earned full run of the house when left alone
🚫 Not crate trained (I completely ignore it)
🚫 No small dogs or cats
❓ Unknown with children
🩺 Recently had a cancerous spot removed from my leg; will need a recheck in 6 months
Piper would do best in a calm home with patient adopters who understand that trust takes time — but once you have it, you’ll have a loyal, loving companion for life.
