Adopted: Delia

🐾 Meet Delia – From Survivor to Thriving Puppy πŸ’›

πŸ“ Pittsburgh, PA | πŸŽ‚ 9 months | βš–οΈ 55 lbs

Delia’s story is one of resilience, healing, and hope. At just 9 months old, this sweet Berner girl has already overcome more than most dogs ever should β€” from life in an Amish puppy mill, to a shelter, to battling Lyme disease and Giardia, and even undergoing life-saving heart surgery.

Because of the care and support she received, Delia is now healthy, happy, and ready to start the life she always deserved. πŸ’›

Despite everything she’s been through, Delia remains incredibly loving and full of joy. She adores people, thrives on affection, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs β€” especially enjoying playtime and roughhousing with her foster brother.

✨ A little fun fact: Delia is a star! She’s currently featured as a β€œDog of the Month” on Bernese Mountain Dog Coffee Company treat bags, helping raise funds for rescue dogs just like her.

🐾 What Delia Needs

Delia is still very much a puppy and is making up for lost time β€” in the best way possible!

  • A fenced yard (she’s still learning to go potty on leash)

  • A playful, confident dog sibling to help guide her

  • A home with older children due to her playful, rambunctious energy

  • A family committed to continuing her training and housebreaking

She’s doing great on leash, enjoys car rides, and is responding well to training β€” she’s already come so far from where she started.

Her cardiologist has given her the all-clear to live life fully with no restrictions, though she will need a follow-up appointment with Pittsburgh Veterinary Cardiology at the end of April.

πŸ’› The Best Is Yet to Come

Delia has fought hard for her second chance, and now she’s ready to live it to the fullest β€” with a family who will love her, guide her, and grow with her.

If you’re ready for a joyful, resilient, and loving companion, Delia is ready for you. 🐾
