Cheer is a quiet, gentle 5-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog who has been on a journey of healing, patience, and growth. After undergoing TPLO surgery and adjusting to life in a home for the first time, she has made incredible progress and is now ready to find her forever family.
When Cheer first arrived in foster care, the world felt overwhelming and unfamiliar. With time, patience, and a calm environment, she has blossomed into a sweet, peaceful companion who greets her people with the cutest little “helicopter tail.”
She is mostly house-trained and continues to improve with routine. Cheer will quietly let you know she needs to go out by heading toward the door — no barking or fuss, just gentle communication.
🐾 Cheer’s Personality
Cheer is a low-key, sensitive girl who thrives in calm, predictable environments. She currently lives with dogs and cats and coexists well with both, especially when other pets are calm and respectful.
She is shy with new people and situations, but once she feels safe, her sweet nature shines through. She doesn’t seek out constant attention, but she deeply appreciates quiet companionship and kindness.
Her favorite things are simple — her safe space, mealtime, and slowly venturing out to be near her people.

Cheer rides well in the car and walks nicely on leash, though she hasn’t had many opportunities yet due to recovery and weather. She is becoming more food motivated and now happily looks forward to meals and treats each day.
