A month ago Chela didn't know what grass felt like. She had never been on a walk, never played with a toy, never experienced what it means to be someone's cherished girl. Now she does hot laps in the yard every morning, crosses her paws elegantly when she lies down, and lights up the moment her foster mom walks through the door. She is becoming a Berner — and it is an absolute joy to watch.
Chela is an affectionate, easygoing girl who walks beautifully on leash, tolerates baths and teeth brushing without complaint, and sat outside watching Fourth of July fireworks without batting an eye while the other dogs hid inside.
