Meet Amun — a calm, sweet, nearly 8-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog who just wants the simple things in life: a soft bed, a loving hand, and a person to follow from room to room. At 92 lbs, he’s a big boy with an even bigger heart — full of quiet affection and soulful loyalty.
Amun is currently living peacefully in a foster home with seven other dogs and gets along beautifully with all of them. While he hasn’t been around cats or young children, his gentle nature makes us hopeful — with slow introductions and a patient home, he has every chance to adjust with ease.
He does have a little stubborn streak (classic Berner!), especially when it comes to walks — if he’s not in the mood, he simply lays down. He’s still learning potty training and how to hop into the car, but he truly tries and just needs a family willing to cheer him on as he learns.
Amun isn’t flashy. He isn’t high-maintenance. He’s just a soft-hearted, quiet companion who wants to love — and be loved — for the rest of his days.
