Pepper had a rough start — rescued as part of the Ashland puppy mill seizure, she came into the world without the puppyhood she deserved. But you would barely know it now. She is curious, social, sweet-natured, and discovering with great enthusiasm that life outside a mill is pretty wonderful.

She loves people, loves kids, loves other dogs — she will walk right up to every dog she meets to say hello — and she gets along with cats too. She is the kind of puppy who finds joy in everything: a walk, a new smell, a friendly face, an open field. She is crate trained, potty trained, knows "drop it," and is up to date on her vaccines. She still needs to be spayed, and we are looking for a foster-to-adopt home where she can continue to learn, grow, and soak up every experience she missed in those early months.

Pepper is not a shy or shut-down girl — she is ready to dive into life headfirst, and she just needs the right active, loving family to dive in with her.
