Adopt: Miranda & Pax

Two Hearts Healing Together 🐾

📍 Fairmont, WV

Miranda and Pax came into the same foster home carrying heavy hearts and quiet fears. What they found there was each other — and that has made all the difference. These two sweet girls aren't a formally bonded pair, but they have been a comfort to one another through their healing, and the option to adopt them together is a beautiful one. That said, each of them is also ready to find her own forever home individually.

Miranda 🤍

🎂 4 years, 8 months | ⚖️ 63 lbs

Miranda is a deeply loving girl who takes her time — and once she decides you're her person, she is yours. She'll snout-bump you for attention, curl up beside you on the sofa, and follow you with her eyes from across the room just to make sure you're still there. She came to us recovering from an ear injury sustained at her breeder, and she has healed beautifully inside and out.

She's mostly house-trained and has a sweet tell — she spins when she needs to go out. She does well with other dogs, loves meat-based treats, and is working on leash manners and building confidence with new people. Loud noises and fast movements can startle her, and she'll retreat to her quiet place until things settle down. But sit down in her space, and she will come to you.

Miranda would do best in a home that offers:

  • 🏡 A securely fenced yard

  • 🧘 A calm, quiet household — she's happiest when things are predictable

  • 👤 One devoted person or couple she can bond deeply with

  • 👶 Older children or adult-only home preferred; young kids can be overwhelming

  • 🐾 Dog-friendly — cats unknown

  • 💛 Someone home often; she thrives with consistent company and routine

Pax 🤍

🎂 3 years, 1 month | ⚖️ 51 lbs

Pax is a gentle, quiet soul who expresses love in the softest ways — by settling in close to her person, leaning in for scratches, and simply being present. She came to us after spay surgery and a cruciate repair, and she has worked through so much with patience and quiet resilience. She's currently on CBD chews to help manage her anxiety, and her foster family has watched her slowly, steadily blossom.

She's mostly house-trained with the same sweet spin signal as Miranda. New people and loud environments send her to her safe space, but given time and calm, she will come to you on her own terms. She does wonderfully with other confident dogs and would thrive with a four-legged companion to help her feel secure.

Pax would do best in a home that offers:

  • 🏡 A securely fenced yard

  • 🧘 A calm, quiet household with minimal chaos or sudden changes

  • 🐾 A confident dog companion would be a bonus — she responds beautifully to other dogs

  • 👶 Older children or adult-only home preferred; fast movements from little ones frighten her

  • 🐱 Cats unknown

  • 💛 A patient adopter who will let her warm up entirely at her own pace

Adopting Together 💛

Miranda and Pax have been each other's safe place through their healing. If you have the heart and the home for both, they would love nothing more than to make that journey together. But each of them is also ready to step into her own forever story — whenever the right family comes along.

Miranda and Pax have already shown the world what they're made of — quiet strength, deep loyalty, and an extraordinary capacity to love despite everything they've been through. All they need now is someone willing to meet them where they are. 💕
