Max is a handsome, affectionate Bernese Mountain Dog who is looking for a calm, patient home where he can truly settle in and thrive. At 3 years old, he’s full of personality and love — and once he bonds with his people, he becomes an incredibly devoted companion.
Max enjoys cuddles and affection and will gently nudge you when he wants pets. If you stop too soon, he’ll guide your hand right back to the exact spot he prefers! When he’s excited, his tail wags non-stop and he happily bounces around (though he doesn’t jump on people). One of Max’s favorite pastimes is relaxing with his humans — especially watching TV together.
Max does well meeting new people and has shown himself to be welcoming and affectionate with visitors. He is house trained and very food motivated, which makes continued training easier.
🏡 What Max Needs
Max will do best in a quiet home and neighborhood where he can feel relaxed and secure. Because he can become overstimulated around other animals and barking dogs nearby, a pet-free home is recommended so he can focus on building confidence and stability.
A secure fenced yard — ideally a privacy fence — will help reduce distractions and allow him to enjoy outdoor time safely.

Max has come a long way in foster care. At first he was unsure, but once he settled in he began seeking affection, playing, and eagerly anticipating mealtime. With consistency and understanding, he will continue to blossom.
