Adopt: Hamuel

Hold the Turkey — This Thanksgiving, Add a Big Ham to Your Home!

📍 Columbia, MO | 🎂 3 years old | ⚖️ 80 lbs

Meet Hamuel – affectionately known as Ham – a 3-year-old, 80-pound Bernese Mountain Dog who’s equal parts cuddler, bed hog, and lovebug. This big guy has never met a stranger and is happiest when he’s glued to your side, soaking up attention and snuggles.

Ham is crate and leash trained, neutered, and fostered in Columbia, MO. He’s great with kids, cats, and small animals, and while he loves other dogs, he prefers slow introductions and absolutely does not like sharing food or treats. For that reason, he’ll do best as an only dog, or in a home that can manage separate mealtimes.

He’s still brushing up on his manners and listening skills, so a patient, experienced home willing to continue positive reinforcement training will be ideal. He has the perfect balance of energy and laziness—ready for a walk one minute, and down to snooze by your feet the next.

Oh, and those yawns? Adorably contagious.

If you’re looking for a big-hearted companion who’ll be your loyal shadow (and steal your side of the bed), Hamuel may be the missing piece of your family table this holiday season. Just be sure you have a fenced-in yard and a little extra room on the couch!
