🏁🐾 Cars, Community, and Compassion: Blue Hill Remembrance 2025 Was a Huge Success!

This past Saturday was one for the books! The Blue Hill Remembrance 2025 event brought together car enthusiasts, community members, and rescue supporters — and wow, did they show up in a big way. What started as a Ford Focus meet with a mission turned into something so much more, and we’re beyond excited to share the results.

👥 More than 60 attendees

🎉 Thousands raised, thousands of pounds donated

Who knew the Ford Focus community had so much heart? (Well… we did. Just like our incredible NBMDRN family!)

Here’s a breakdown of the incredible support and generosity that came out of the day:

🐶 For the Rescues:

• $315 in cash donations collected at the event were split between two amazing organizations:

  • Skiatook Paws & Claws Animal Rescue (SPACAR)

  • National Bernese Mountain Dog Rescue Network (NBMDRN) – with an additional $40 donated directlyto us by a dear friend, bringing our total to $200 from this portion.

• Approximately 1,500 lbs of dog and cat food were donated — enough to fill the bed of a pickup truck! All of it went to support SPACAR and their ongoing efforts.

• Dog toys galore! The majority were donated by a thoughtful supporter who emailed the rescue directly (he didn’t want to bother the organizers — how sweet is that?). These toys are being split between both rescues. 🧸🐾

👕 T-Shirt Sales for a Cause:

Thanks to all of YOU who purchased event shirts, we raised $482 for NBMDRN through t-shirt sales!

This event was more than just cool cars and great prizes. It was a celebration of the kindness and positivity within the car enthusiast community. From watching friendships form in the parking lot to seeing the bed of a truck overflow with food and supplies for rescue animals… it was heartwarming, humbling, and unforgettable.
