Emma has a very specific greeting ritual for the people she loves: full-blown, whole-body wiggle butt, every single time, without exception. She is a social, playful, endlessly warm girl who loves other dogs, adores children, introduces herself to everyone at the dog park, and is completely unbothered by fireworks, loud noises, or surprise movements. She has watched fireworks with her foster family. She is that kind of dog. Her foster also notes she is a bit dramatic about her ears — years of infections have made her sensitive around them, and she will absolutely cry out if she even thinks you might touch them. She is healing, she is feeling so much better, and she is milking it slightly. We respect it.
Emma is house-trained, travels enthusiastically, and walks well on leash aside from the occasional detour when a smell demands her immediate attention. She is highly food-motivated — currently on a diet and fully convinced she is starving — and is working on her treat manners, which are enthusiastic at best. She cuddles on the couch and bed but prefers a cooler surface to sleep on, always in whatever room her people are in. Close but not too warm. She has standards.
