Every morning, Clover greets the day with the biggest, goofiest grin — front teeth on full display, tail going at a speed that her foster family is genuinely concerned about the walls. She is joyful, sweet, and blossoming more with every single day, and she is ready to bring that smile and those tail wags to a forever home that will love her right back.
She has thrived in her foster home in every way. She walks beautifully on a loose leash — so well that the kids walk her with ease. She is fully house-trained, a wonderful car travel companion, and has been sweet and gentle with every child she has met, from four-year-old cousins to the eight and twelve-year-olds she lives with daily. She is most motivated by praise — a cheerful “good girl” goes further with Clover than any treat — and she has recently mastered the Berner lean, seeking out affection on her own instead of waiting for someone to come to her. That is huge.
She is still learning that new adults want to love her too. She is polite and well-mannered with visitors — she doesn’t jump, doesn’t react, and simply walks away if she is unsure rather than making a fuss. Give her time, and she will be all in. She has also started playing with toys more and more, and her new big tennis balls are her current obsession. Her foster brother — a not-so-playful Berner — is the unwilling object of her relentless attempts to start a game, and watching her try is, by all accounts, absolutely hilarious.
