At just over a year old, this smart, food-motivated Berner mix is already showing just how much potential he has. With the right guidance and a little consistency, Charger will make an incredible companion for an experienced dog owner.

True to his nickname, Charger is a Velcro dog — he wants to be with you at all times. He thrives when someone is home with him, and his loyalty shines through in every tail wag, cuddle, and curious glance. He’s great on leash, gentle with his treats and medications, and already learning basic commands.

Charger is good with kids, though his size and speed might be a bit much for little ones. He gets excited around food (he’ll happily help himself to your countertops if given the chance!), but his eagerness to please and intelligence make him very trainable.

He recently tagged along for a pizza-making day in Staten Island and was a perfect gentleman with everyone he met — calm, friendly, and soaking up the attention.

Charger is ready for someone who understands the breed, can give him the structure and companionship he craves, and maybe a few treats along the way.
