Bojangles
Bojangles: From Roadside Sign to Rescue Hero
One late Friday night, someone taped a sign to a pole that read:
“Free dog, must be gone by 5am.”
Next to it sat a very large, very fluffy Bernese Mountain Dog with a confused look and a big bag of Purina.
That’s how we met Bojangles—“Bo” for short. Estimated to be around 3–4 years old, Bo weighed in at 110 lbs of pure love. Despite being abandoned on the side of the road, Bo greeted us with gentleness, patience, and hope.
He came to us heartworm positive, but that never slowed him down. Through treatment, Bo remained the sweet, playful, and protective pup he’s always been. Now heartworm-free, Bo is ready to start the next chapter of his life—with a forever family.
Bo is:
House-trained and kennel-trained
Calm and loving indoors
Great on leash walks and in fenced play areas
Gentle with kids (he lives with two human brothers, ages 4 and 8!)
A certified cat-lover with 5 feline friends
104 lbs of handsome snuggle bear currently in Huron, TN
We may never know Bo’s full story, but one thing is clear: it’s not finished yet.
Could you be the ending he deserves? Don’t forget to check out his cuteness in the videos below!
